Cari Giulio, Renata e Lorenzo,
- Your fears make you suffer in your letters and I talk about "sleepless nights" and "strange voices" of relationships suffered, of people who "communicate unclean spirits" and the like.
- These are common beliefs, common places, the catechetical teachings infantilizzanti and especially biblical texts read in literalistic way, even fundamentalist. In many ancient texts including the Bible, there is an abundant traces of this belief. When you do not know the cause of many evils, expressed the reality of evil with a rhetorical process called personalization. So evil, invincible or unknown diseases were the product of evil spirits-people. Who does not know this procedure literary and cultural context this really think that there is the devil, Satan, unclean spirits, and think that this belief is legitimized by the Bible.
- Christian preaching often spoke of the "tempter" quoting passages from the Bible without a contextual interpretation. Indeed, the Catholic hierarchy over the centuries has created the ministry of the exorcist "to cast out demons." So has confirmed this belief in the devil.
- is well known that the belief in the devil was used by all the inquisitions to define and condemn heretics and witches "as possessed by the devil.
- Much of preaching and catechesis of the Catholic and Christian belief in the devil has used to inspire fear and awe.
- actually a correct reading of the Bible pressed to say that the devil is a biblical image that expresses the diversity and depth of evil, its a "personification", not a spiritual presence that leads to evil. The devil does not exist. There is no spirit tempter.
- There are the "diabolical", that the thousands of forms and appearances of violence, selfishness, abuse of power. But all this is "our stuff" and would be too comodo e deresponsabilizzante scaricarle su qualche “diavoletto”.
Ricorrere all’esorcista è un errore madornale because it is a sign of ingenuity, superstition and inability to face a disorder or a disease or a disease.
My dear friends, it's time to break free from this prison of ignorance and superstition. Faith is a "serious" and the only ones that exist are those devils in the flesh who steal, are corrupt and make the government's interests.
Best wishes.
Don Franco
